Human first, therapist second.

I'm an integrative therapist, but perhaps more importantly, I'm a person first.

My counselling journey began with my own experience of therapy. Through that experience, I became increasingly curious about myself, my behavioural patterns, and the reasons we do the things we do.

I found myself drawn to understanding what sits beneath our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and how our experiences can shape the way we see ourselves and navigate the world. I became fascinated by the connections between our past experiences, the patterns we develop, and the ways we learn to cope with life's challenges. That curiosity grew into a deeper interest in human psychology and the therapeutic process, eventually leading me to pursue professional training in counselling.

During my training, I developed an appreciation for the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the difference it can make to have a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. I came to recognise that counselling isn't about being told what to do or having someone provide all the answers. It's about having the opportunity to explore your experiences, develop a deeper understanding of yourself and discover what feels right for you.

My own journey helped shape the therapist I wanted to become: someone who approaches people with warmth, compassion and curiosity, recognising that we all have our own stories and that there is often more beneath the surface than others can see. I bring warmth, openness, and curiosity into the room. I’ll listen, I’ll sit with you in the difficult moments, and I’ll be alongside you as we explore the things that perhaps don’t always make sense.

My approach

As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic perspectives to shape our work around you, your experiences and what you need from therapy. I work collaboratively, with warmth, openness and curiosity. Rather than making assumptions about your experiences, I want to understand them from your perspective. We can explore what's bringing you to therapy, the patterns you notice in your life and the things you would like to understand or change. I don't see you as a problem to be fixed. I see you as a person with your own history, strengths, challenges and ways of making sense of the world.

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I’m fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS check, and work to the highest standards of ethical practice.

A little more kindness, a little more you.

I created The Kind Counselling Practice around a simple belief: that we all deserve a space where we can meet ourselves with a little more kindness.

Life can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, uncertain of who we are or caught in patterns we struggle to understand. Counselling offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and begin to make sense of these experiences at your own pace.

You don't need to know exactly what you want to talk about before you begin. You don't need to have the right words. And you don't need to navigate everything alone.

There is space to talk. Space to think. Space to feel. Space to question. And space to simply be.

I'm glad you're here.
